Steve is a seasoned market researcher and marketing strategist who approaches research with a business mindset. He helps clients understand their industry environment and buyer needs, and translates findings into actionable solutions. His core areas of expertise include customer insights, market entry and expansion, concept testing, campaign planning, and customer experience improvement.
Across his 18 years in the field, Steve has led over 200 assignments for clients in healthcare, technology, financial services, education, automotive and non-profits, ranging from start-ups to some of the world’s largest global companies.
Prior to joining Carbon, Steve was a Partner at the boutique market research firm HawkPartners, and led engagements at the sales and marketing consultancy MarketBridge. Earlier, he analyzed e-commerce at Toyota USA, developed brand names at the agency Interbrand, and worked in consumer marketing at Wenner Media (publisher of “Rolling Stone” and “Us Weekly”).
Steve earned a B.A. in Economics and Communication with honors from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler) as a Jenrette Fellow.
